I'll escape now from this world

Through a strange twist of fate I'm now helplessly enarmoured with 'Les Miserables', especially with Inspector Javert. :3
After seeing the 2012 movie adaption for the third time (an listening to the music even more) my beloved one and I started to notice the reoccuring musical themes and how they were used.
So Valjean's Soliloquy reapeared in the song of Javert's Suicide.
Both men stand at the abyss, seeming to have no way to go on and wanting to disappear from the world. Jean does so by giving himself a new identity and starting anew, Javert gives up.

I wanted to show how similar they are at this point but how different they handle their situations. So Valjeans side is light and warm for he decides to try again to live in this world that has shown him no kindness at all and Javerts side is dark and cold for he is despaired because everything that he has belived in - that would be the law itself and how it is infallible - has diappeared, changed completly and turned him into the bad guy.

Hopefully I managed to get that message across. ^^
Nearly everything is drawn with coloured crayons which was fun most of the time, but the heaven was....hell. -_-° I really don't like to draw clouds with crayons. It just won't look the way I intended it to be....so a little bit of photoshop had to be used to get it at least a bit right. ^^° Also the background was intended to look like it was in the movie but I wasn't that accurate at that. ^^° More artistic freedom! XD

I LOVE the movie. *_* I haven't seen the musical on stage but listened to some music recorded at the theatres and have decided for myself that I like the movie best. :3 Especially Russell Crowe and his way of singing. ^^
